Something Special

Renee and Mark were so fun to work with. From the first meeting we shared laughs and tears. She had recently reunited with a son given up for adoption and he was giving her away! There were so many sweet and personal touches in this ceremony. Much love surrounded these two as they started their married life together and it was my honor to be a part of it.

Highlighting a Venue – The Semple Mansion

This venue was stunning minus the Halloween Decor but it sure was fun to see it dressed up for the Spooky season. There are many levels to this beautiful venue and lots of history. If you are looking for that intimate, classic, old style venue be sure and check this one out! It is STUNNING.

LGBTQ+ Friendly

I am very excited to announce that I am advertising in the LGBTQ+ community. I have always been a supporter of MARRIAGE – love is love. I just assumed that people would just know that. There is a great publication Engaygedweddings.com that will put you in touch with vendors who support and embrace the community! It is broken down by state.

Highlighting a Vendor – VickyMermaidBridal

I know it can be scary “trusting” an online Etsy site for your special day. The dress above is the AMAZING dress my daughter wore for her wedding day in 2018. She was living in Colombia(Peace Corps) at the time and the shop was in full contact the entire time, sending pics and assuring her that it was all coming together to match her vision. They shipped the dress to her tiny village in Colombia when they finished it so she could try it on. It fit perfectly! She had it sent home where we kept it safe until she got back for the wedding. I cannot say enough about the professional way this shop operates. The prices are amazing as well. Below is the link to the shop and I will put it on my preferred vendor page as well. They also created a long cathedral veil to go with it – with shipping it was about $750, but worth a million!

Do you remember?!

The 21st night of September?? Well Jamesha and Cris sure did! They did it with style and flair! I had so much fun joining these two in marriage. Everyone was so fun and having a great time. Everything was spectacular from the bride and groom to awesome decor! Here’s to many years of wedded bliss for this wonderful couple.

Highlighting a Venue – Banquets of Minnesota

Banquets of Minnesota is an amazing “One Stop Shop” Venue! Located in Fridley it is conveniently located off 694 and Central Avenue. The venue and staff are amazing and will work to make your day as special as you! Leslie is the Event Coordinator and is the best in the business, she has been instrumental in helping me build my business and in turn, I send business her way when I can! I recently attended her quarterly tasting where I got to meet many wonderful vendors and couples. I am using this post to show just some of the many options that are available to you for decor. The rooms are permanently draped for all events and they are beautiful. Please check out their website on my preferred vendor site.

Pretty in Pink

Kate & Eddie – West St. Paul, MN – Private Home

I have known Kate over 10 years and was so honored that she asked me to perform the ceremony for her and Eddie. The wedding reflected them as a couple perfectly. It was small and intimate with only parents and grandparents in attendance. Exchanging vows personalized for each other, they were heartfelt and beautiful. I wish you many, many years of joy and happiness.

Home again for a special wedding

Amanda has been a dear friend of my daughter for years, a second daughter to me. There was no way I would say no to her wedding to Christian. Having known her for many years it was so wonderful to meet the special man who put a smile on her face and and flutter in her heart! Getting to know them as a couple ha been wonderful. They are a great balance for each other. As you will see from the picture she was dramatic and gorgeous in her all black wedding dress and cathedral length veil. Creating a ceremony that matched the love and life of these two was wonderful, there was a few re-writes and it ended with a beautiful handfasting. I was so honored to be a part of this Blessed event. I wish them all the love in the world and many, many years of happiness together. The ceremony was held at Chanhassen Dinner Theatre and pictures are courtesy of Black Gem Photography.

May Wedding 2023

In May I swung back home to oversee the marriage of Hailey & Jordan. Perfect excuse to come home for a quick visit with family. The weather was perfect and this bride was Stunning! I was able to squeeze in a concert date with my husband as well up North. It was wonderful catching up with the great staff at Banquets of Minnesota and my favorite DJ as well. Many, many years of wedded bliss!
